About Me
Hi, I’m Jayde a nutritionist and recipe developer with a passion for creating gluten-free, gut-friendly recipes that nourish the body and spark joy in the kitchen.
I share my recipes, ideas, and creativity here and on Instagram, where I focus on gluten-free baking, natural sugar alternatives, gelatin-based recipes, fermented foods, and everyday meals made with wholesome ingredients. My mission is simple: to make healthy food approachable, delicious, and fun.
My Roots in the Kitchen
Cooking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. While most kids were glued to Saturday morning cartoons, I was captivated by cooking shows, soaking in every technique and flavour combination.
I owe my earliest love for food to my two grandmothers. From my Polish grandmother, I learned to roll cabbage leaves, jar homemade pickles, and fold perogies with care. From my other grandmother, I learned the art of creativity turning leftovers into hearty soups and stews that always felt like comfort in a bowl. Those kitchen lessons planted the seed of curiosity, resourcefulness, and a deep love for nourishing food that I carry with me to this day.
My Health Story
My journey with health and food began the day I was born. I came into the world with severe medical challenges and spent much of my childhood sick, exhausted, and searching for answers. By the age of 13, I was living with daily pain, fatigue, migraines, IBS, and fainting spells that specialists couldn’t explain.
Finally, after years of unanswered questions, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. The discovery that gluten was damaging my body was both devastating and liberating because it gave me a path forward. Removing gluten helped, but my healing journey didn’t end there. I struggled with nutrient deficiencies, anxiety, and lifestyle challenges before realizing that true health wasn’t going to come from a pill or a prescription it had to come from food, lifestyle, and mindset.
That realization led me to study at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where I finally began to rebuild my health with whole, organic foods. The process not only healed me physically but also ignited a lifelong passion for helping others see the beauty of real food.
Why I Create Recipes
Today, I combine my training in holistic nutrition with my lifelong love of cooking and baking to create recipes that make healthy living sustainable and joyful. I believe food doesn’t have to be complicated to be nourishing. With a little creativity, a handful of fresh ingredients, a few gut-friendly swaps, you can transform your meals into both nourishment and comfort.

Jayde is the Founder of Reclaimed Health By Jayde MacLean and a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. Through her health challenges, she has learned to heal her body naturally. After being diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of 13, Jayde had to make a huge lifestyle change to become healthy. She was determined to find healthy yet tasty alternatives to the food she once loved. She began making her meals from scratch and has found her recipes are both tasty and nutritious! Nourishing and educating others by providing knowledge of healthy eating is Jayde’s passion. She strives to create new recipes that are appetizing, tasty and appealing.
