Probiotic Coconut Milk Yogurt
Ingredients
- 13 oz full-fat coconut milk canned
- 1 tbs. maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. grass-fed gelatin
- 40 billion CFU probiotics
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small saucepan, bring 13 oz. of coconut milk to a simmer. Add 1 Tbs. maple syrup and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.Step 2: Turn off the heat and add 1 1/2 tsp. grass-fed gelatin. Whisk well. Let the mixture cool down so it is warm but not hot.Step 3: Pour the mixture into a mason jar. Step 4: Empty the contents of @nutridomcanada’s 40 billion probiotic capsule into the warm mixture. Combine with a non-metal utensil. Step 5: Cover the jar with a small towel. Place the jar in the oven OFF but with the light on. Let it sit in the oven for 18 hours. Alternatively, you can place the lid on the jar and wrap it in a heating pad on low for the same duration of time.Step 6: Next, you may notice the contents to be quite thick. Give it a quick whisk and it will become creamy. Store in the fridge with the lid on for 2 weeks. Step 7: Top with your favourite fruit or granola and enjoy!
