Healthy Gummy Worms

These homemade healthy gummy worms are not only cute and delicious, they’re also perfect for Halloween! This yummy snack is a great way to eat more gut healthy gelatin. I love how easy they are as they only contain 5 ingredients!



When I was a kid, I loved candy, especially gummy worms! I always found a way to stash them in my pockets or hide them around my bedroom. I now know how these treats can impact our health, especially the state of our gut health.

I have found a new way to enjoy treats around holidays like Halloween without having to eat conventional candy. In these healthy gummies, there are no artificial colours, sweeteners or flavours. Instead, they are sweetened with raw honey, and the colour is from fruit!

This recipe is perfect for the whole family! My little guy couldn’t keep his hands off of them.

What you will need for this recipe:

Gummy Worm Mould
Raw Honey
Gelatin
Blender

Healthy Gummy Worms

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup grass-fed gelatin
  • 4 tbs. lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup cherries pits removed
  • 2 tbs. raw honey

Instructions
 

  • In a small sauce-pan on medium heat, add the water, gelatin and lime juice. Mix for a few minutes until well combined and no clumps are visible. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  • Pour the mixture into a high-speed blender along with the cherries. Blend until smooth.
  • Place the mixture back into the pot and warm for a few minutes on the stove top. Turn off the heat and add in the raw honey.
  • Using a dropper, place the contents into a gummy mould. You can still make this recipe even if you do not have a gummy mould. Simply pour it into any container or cake pan.
  • Place in the fridge and let it sit for at least 30 minutes to set.
