WHAT IS GRASS-FED GELATIN?

Gelatin is essentially collagen which is a protein. When you make bone broth and cook down the bones, collagen is extracted from them. It is not easy to add collagen to your diet but thankfully nowadays you can easily buy beef gelatin or collagen powder.

Why is it good for you?

The body typically does not produce enough collagen especially as you age. It helps keep your skin elastic, your bones strong, and your hair thick.

Gelatin is made of 98–99% protein. The remaining 1–2% is water and small amounts of vitamins and minerals. Gelatin is the richest food source of the amino acid glycine.
